MedlinePlus: NLM Director's Comments - a great podcast

The MedlinePlus: NLM Director's Comments podcast is a great audio resource. It is constantly updated and presents very interesting insights with episodes around 10 minutes. Donald A.B. Lindberg, M.D., Director of the National Library of Medicine, has a deep and penetrating voice, just excellent. I subscribed to the podcast on iTunes and am getting episodes since 2006.
I really really recommend it: it's authoritative, it does not accept advertising and it's really patient-friendly. A great way to stay up to date and get motivation to go more in depth in certain topics.

Podcasts can really be a handy educational tool. The problem, as with everything online, is that of selecting the good ones, because our time isn't infinite. Some are recorded lectures, which makes actually pointless subscribing to them on iTunes. I particularly enjoy those made for online listeners specifically, I will eventually post further suggestions on this blog.
If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment - there are new podcasts being created every day!

  2. Sorry, I forgot to place the link! I edited it now!
You could try listening to this podcast while weight training (I hate those pauses between exercises!) or jogging!

  3. I try not to have longer than 45 sec pauses between the exercises. Of course if I don't go heavy heavy.

On my heavy weights day I have to be very concentrate and can't listen to the podcast too.

Yes, running and listening at the same time is possible.
